One of the frequent questions we get is how to get rid of the curry smell in apartments or homes. Curry is a complex combinations of spices and/or herbs, usually including fresh or dried hot chillies; and the actual type of curry varys in various ethnic groups. Nonetheless, curry is a type of aromatic, slow cooking that literally spreads through the house for lengthy period of time. This accounts for the curry smell lingering long after the former “Curry-Loving Tenants” have left the premises.
First of all, it is a good idea to have an exhaust fan over the stove. This is going to help keep things moderated, but not solved.
DO NOT paint over the walls as a solution. Even the “Vanilla Scented” paint is only a short-term fix. When paint dries, it becomes porous again, and the corry will leach through after a short while.
Start with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Wash everything liberally with this solution. This will get you about 50% of the the way to the solution.
Then, get our 20,000 ozone generator and run it in the apartment for 4-8 hours. Repeat again if needed. This will get you about 95% of the way to the solution. Finally, it is time to paint. This should get your 98% there. I say that because there are people with exception smell, and they will still get a whiff of curry in a closed-in area. Such is life, so we wll have to live with a little imperfection.
The 20,000 unit for apartment odors is a great investment anyway. Use the same tactic for smoke smell, pet odors, and general funk. Many apartment managers will treat every apartment with a ozone treatment for several reasons.
Ozone will sanitize everything. Bacteria and germs will be eradicated, and bacteria can be a source of odors. Ozone will kill the mold and mildew smells. However, a bad mold problem may need professional remediation. Finally, shock level ozone for a 4-6 hour period will kill all the pests, like cockroaches, silverfish, and so one. Dust mites are the source of many allergies. Ozone will kill off the dust mites as well.
So, using the All Ozone 20,000 or 40,000 really renews the apartment by removing odors, sanitizing for germs, killing mold smell, reducing allergens, and killing bugs. There is every reason to make ozone a standard in apartment rejuvinization.
